In this one-time class, the students will read the book Planting a Rainbow by Lois Ehler ( used with permission). The students will notice this book celebrates the joy of gardening, the beauty of nature, and the growth process. The students can tell the class their favourite flower and why. The students will draw their planting rainbow of a garden inspired by this book. I will be doing it with the students. At the end of the class, the students can show their art project to the class.
