I’ve been teaching guitar to all ages for over twenty years. Many of my former students are now playing on stage or teaching their own students. My goal is to inspire students to learn more and have fun practicing for the music they like. Beginning students struggle with finger strength so we will learn exercises and basic musical notes. Provide a basic classical (nylon strings) acoustic (no electric) or electric guitar (with amplifier) If you can have strings tuned, great. If not, we can do that in class. It does need to have 6 strings. A basic used guitar shouldn’t be more than $100 dollars in a pawn shop, thrift store, or FB Market, etc… Once we realize they have talent and want to advance, then consider a nice guitar.
