In this course, we will work on reading music for the piano in C position. We will cover reading Treble Clef and Bass Clef with a sure-fire approach to knowing the notes with 100% accuracy. We will then learn legato articulation and the intervals. In the final stages, we will play songs with both hands at the same time. This is for the young learner who is ready for the next step beyond white key note identification and finger numbers. I will demonstrate the exercises and the learners will...
Students will learn C position in both hands, reading standard notation in Bass and Treble clef, legato vs. non-legato touch, and musical intervals. Towards the end of the eight-week course learners will be eased into the polyphonic possibilities of the piano and play with both hands at the same time.
