Understanding shutter speed is foundational to taking great photographs. In this class we will discuss a wide range of shutter speeds, what they do and when to use a fast shutter speed versus a slow shutter speed. 

I have wide variety of professional photography experiences and a diverse collection of photographic images. I will share some of these experiences and images during the class as examples of what different shutter speeds do. 

Since shutter speed is one of the features of a camera that controls exposure, we will cover what exposure is and why it's important to make a good exposure with your camera.

I will use Keynote software to present various slides discussing shutter speed and exposure. I will also display dozens of images with their corresponding shutter speeds to help students understand the effects of shutter speeds and why certain shutter speeds work for different situations. Throughout the class time I will ask students questions to better understand how well they are grasping the concepts being taught.
