🌞 👉 Join me for a 12-session full semester course (grades available!) for the beginner photographer to learn camera settings, shooting modes & more through interactive activities and in-class projects. Grading is available upon request!

🚌 👉 This is a full semester course taught in the Fall/Winter/Spring for 6 or 12 weeks. I will teach about DSLR cameras or phone cameras with an equivalent app. The students will learn all about their cameras including manual mode, composition, subject, lighting, editing, careers, black & white photography and more!

💻 See external resources. A memory card and battery for the camera are items required. Also, a way to transfer the pictures from the memory card to a device is recommended, so I can see how well the learner is understanding the material. 

💫 A digital DSLR is needed for this class and you're welcome to buy, borrow, or rent one from various photography equipment sites. However, a camera on a phone would work as well. There may not be as many options as we discuss in this course, but it could still work. There is an app called Lightroom Mobile app that has some of the same settings as a digital DSLR and could also be functional for this class. 

Here are some good ideas for cameras.

 I will link a couple here. But you can also go to Facebook marketplace locally and see if there are any used cameras on there. Usually you can find a good deal and also get extra lenses for it! Just make sure it works first!

Feel free to borrow someone's as well if any friend or family member has one sitting around! That's always possible if you ask around.

What you're looking for is the settings of M or Manual on the top round dial along with S or Tv and A or Av, depending on the make of the camera. Those settings are most important in this class. ISO is also important and it will be on the screen on the back of the camera and not on the dial on the top like the others. When you read the description or see the pictures of the camera just look for these. Also removable lenses are better than the ones that are not.
