Reading is more than just remembering the words. Children need to learned how letters blend together to build words. I've created this course for young learners to meet once a week for 55 mins. I have prepared google slides to help young learners  blend sounds together.  We will focus on learning a set of CVC words each week. Such as, [-at, -am, -an, -ad, -ap,-ag, -ot, -og] and many more. They will learn to blend the CVC words. We will practice them together. Then, they will try to practice them with less teacher assistance. We will focus on their listening and thinking skills. 

Finally, the young learner will learn how to use these CVC words in sentences. While practicing basic sentences, the young learner will learn common sight words such as, [the, has, no, on, look, in, is, have, it, and, to, too] and more. The young learner will learn these words, through fun activities. While learning how to blend CVC words the child will also learn the understanding of rhyming words. I will give many praises and rewards such as stickers, or we will do a fun activity related to what we're learning for their accomplishments. 

Children learn best through repetition and constant practice. I will share YouTube links that are great resources to help your child with learning CVC words. I will also provided weekly ideas on how the young learner can continue to practice through play at home. It is required that the all young learners are familiar with recognizing letter names and phonic sounds.
