미국 Kindergarten학년 - 2학년 학년
In this engaging self-paced course, early readers (Pre-K to 2nd grade) will master foundational phonics skills essential for reading success. Through structured lessons, students will build confidence in decoding, blending sounds, recognizing sight words, and reading simple words and sentences. This course is ideal for beginning readers or those who need extra practice in phonics. What will be taught? Students will learn essential phonics concepts such as: Letter-sound correspondence for consonants and vowels Blending sounds to form CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words Identifying and decoding digraphs (e.g., "sh," "ch," "th") Understanding consonant blends (e.g., "br," "st") Recognizing and reading sight words Exploring word families and rhyming words to build fluency How is your class structured? Each week, a new lesson will be unlocked with interactive, hands-on activities. Every lesson is carefully designed to build upon previous skills, starting with the basics of letter-sound correspondence and progressing to more advanced phonics concepts like digraphs, blends, and word families. How will I teach? The course is designed to be self-paced, but students will receive engaging, guided instruction through: - Interactive slides that introduce new concepts in a visual, easy-to-understand format - Games and activities (like letter-sound matching, word building with letter tiles, and sight word bingo) that reinforce each lesson’s content - Video clips demonstrating phonics activities and reading strategies - Worksheets and quizzes to check understanding and encourage practice - The structure allows children to learn at their own pace while still having access to fun and effective learning tools. My teaching style: - I believe in a hands-on, engaging, and encouraging approach to teaching. I focus on making learning phonics fun and interactive, ensuring that each child feels motivated and confident in their abilities. My teaching style is patient and supportive, giving children ample time to practice and master each skill before moving on to the next. This is a self-paced course, so there is no live interaction, but students will be able to: - Participate in interactive games and activities that simulate real-time feedback - Submit completed assignments for review, with feedback and suggestions for further practice - Access pre-recorded videos where I demonstrate phonics concepts and reading strategies - Use printable worksheets to practice skills at their own pace - Throughout the course, learners will engage directly with content that’s fun, and designed to build their phonics skills gradually. Each lesson includes opportunities to interact with the material in ways that help retain and reinforce what’s learned.

교사 전문성 및 자격증
석사 학위 교육 University of Arkansas at Little Rock에서
I have extensive experience working with young children, particularly in literacy development. I hold a master's degree in reading and a Reading Specialist certification for K-12, which has provided me with a solid foundation in phonics, decoding, blending, and sight word recognition. I spent 7 years as a classroom teacher, including 5 years in first grade and 2 years in second grade, where I focused heavily on helping early readers build the skills necessary for fluent reading.
In addition to my classroom experience, I have worked as an Orton-Gillingham tutor, providing one-on-one support for dyslexic students and other early readers. I also currently teach self-paced phonics and reading courses for students who need extra support in these foundational skills. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and focuses on meeting students at their current level, offering targeted support to help them progress.
I have taught this subject in individual tutoring sessions, small groups, and classroom settings, working with students ranging from pre-kindergarten through second grade. My teaching style emphasizes patience, clear explanations, and hands-on activities that engage children and help them make connections between sounds, letters, and words.
