Students will identify their own personality type through class discussion, visuals, and a worksheet.  Through conversation, they will use their critical thinking to learn how to use personality typing to better communicate and understand others.

Disclaimer: Personality typing is not about mental health or the mental health field.  I have taken all of the coursework for my second bachelor's degree in psychology.  I have spent a few years taking part in online learning groups about personalities and personality typing, where I was able to find books, articles, and learn a lot about typing - particularly Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).  I wrote a professional development seminar on personality typing.  I’ve coached handfuls of people through finding their MBTI type, have enough knowledge on the subject to relay it to this age group in a fun and interesting way while promoting higher-order thinking skills at the same time.
