I am a professional chef with 10 years of experience
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Ingredients:
1 pint strawberries, washed and COMPLETELY dried before class, try to set out at room temperature for at least 30 minutes beforehand
About 1 package of chocolate almond bark
1 small package pink, white, or red candy melts (found in most big box stores baking aisles)
Optional: Students may add additional toppings to their strawberries if desired. Ex. Themed sprinkles, shredded coconut, chopped nuts, etc

Materials:
**MICROWAVE ACCESS REQUIRED**
1 medium sized microwave safe bowl
1 small microwave safe bowl
2 rubber spatulas
2 forks
Sheet pan lined with wax paper OR silicone baking mat
Oven mitts or pot holders for handling bowls in microwave 
Clean hands and surface for working
Optional: Apron, chef's hat, paper towels or towels for any spills or messes
Allergen warning* During class we may use recipes that contain, milk, nuts, wheat, eggs, etc.
Parental guidance** Depending on your learner's skillset and knowledge, some assistance may be necessary, we will be using a microwave during class to melt the chocolates as needed.
