We will investigate mathematical patterns made by finding multiples of each number. They will count in multiples and form patterns on the hundreds chart on the screen. They will be shown patterns and asked what comes next in the pattern and to tell the rule of the pattern. This class is excellent for students that are learning or are about to learn their multiplication facts but that like patterns. It is also a higher level thinking class because they have to find the rule, and apply it to...
Students will learn that there are patterns in math. They will learn to recognize patterns that are given to them and they will be asked to find the next number in the pattern. Most of the patterns will be mulitples of numbers, which will be helpful for students learning or about to learn multiplication facts. If time permits, there will also be some more complicated pattern such as the Fibanacci series.
The teacher is a certified and experienced teacher for regular education and gifted students.

Homework will not be assigned, but students might find it fun to play with different patterns in math by using the interactive 100 chart that is linked to the class.제공되는 평가
