Learners will learn the parts of speech and how to identify them in sentences. Exercises and homework will be comprised of practice using each part of speech learned the day it is assigned. Each Homework assignment is themed to make it more interesting. I can update the themes for older learners if requested. The current themes are designed to appeal to the widest possible age group. This is a grammar class designed to help learners excel in writing. By identifying each part of speech and how that part of speech works in a sentence, learners may construct better, more coherent, sentences in essays, formal papers, and creative writing.

Worksheets provided should be downloaded, printed each week after the lesson. These worksheets will be used for homework and will be checked the following week before class. Each week, the worksheets to be used for the following class will be posted directly after class.
