All interactions between students and the teacher will happen on the class page. This class will be presented via pre-recorded demonstration videos. 2 lessons//2 Weeks
Week 1Lesson 1Painting the OrbsStudents will be guided through the process of painting wet-on-wet technique to paint several circles in vibrant, harmonious colors. We will discuss what harmonious means and how to achieve brilliant and interesting watercolor images. These papers will need to dry flat in preparation for the next class.Week 2Lesson 2Finishing the ArtStudents will select favorite sections of watercolor pieces and draw circles using either templates, such as different-sized lids, or a compass. We will cut out the circles and arrange and glue them onto a piece of heavy white or colored paper. The teacher will then guide students through a final drawing of directional lines surrounding and connecting the circles. The final piece will be a dramatic interplay of vivid watercolor and high contrast of black and white lines.
- Students will learn wet-on-wet painting technique
- Students will learn to incorporate line patterns with collage technique.
As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.
