Hi! My name is Erin Kreis. I am an elementary school art teacher. I have been teaching art for the past 13 years. I have been a teacher for 19 years. Previous to teaching art, I taught Special Education, 2nd grade in Indianapolis, Year 1 and Year 4 in England. I love traveling and soaking up the sun. 
I encourage students to be creative while teaching about artists, tools and techniques of art. 
My approach is patient, yet firm in a gentle way. In my almost 20 years of teaching, I have learned to accommodate to the needs of students.  Art is my true passion. I feel like I am stepping back into childhood when I start creating. My goals is to share that joy with my students. 
I live in the Colorado mountains and love hiking, biking and running on all the beautiful trails.
My husband owns a bike shop in out town so I enjoy helping him throughout the summer renting bikes to tourists from all over the world.
I am also a fitness instructor and jewelry designer. I have sold my jewelry at several farmers markets in the past 12 years. While I enjoyed this immensely, I have taken a step back from jewelry to concentrate on earning my  masters degree in Learning and Technology (completed on September 25th fo 2019) and continuing my education. I am a lifelong learner, always eager to take new classes that intrigue me.
