While research shows that all students learn best through multi-sensory instruction, it is especially useful for students with dyslexia. By using their five senses to create, discuss, and hear sounds, students will be able to engrave various phonics patterns into memory. I have a bachelors degree in elementary education and a masters degree in reading education. I also have obtained my 60 hours of training in Orton Gillingham training. I resigned from my position as a reading coach at a local public school to homeschool my son with severe dyslexia.

Students should have white board, dry erase marker, and eraser (or paper/pencil) when watching the videos. Each week a different material will be used in the video to facilitate multi-sensory practice. The materials will be posted prior to the video so the student can use the same material while watching the video.
