오픈 마이크 시 서클

Our poetry club is broken up into 2 distinct segments: writing and sharing. Think of writing time as co-working space where you could write solo, or elect to bounce ideas off another poet prior to sharing. During our first open mic time, poets can share their response to the writing prompt from the previous week; during the second open mic, poets can take a few moments to share something they’ve been working on.
Breathe it all in. 

Open Mic Poetry Circle will follow the same general schedule, weekly:
5 minutes gathering
20 minutes Open Mic
30 minutes write
30 minutes Open Mic
5 minutes closing

The first month in the club will look like this:
Week 1: 4/7/25- “Ode to My School Bag”
Week 2: 4/14/25- Cinquain
Week 3: 4/21/25-“From the Perspective of a Falling Leaf…”
Week 4: 4/28/25- Haiku

The next week’s schedule will be posted at the end of the current month.

My role in all of this is to create a safe, nurturing and fun container for you and your beautiful work! I am open to offering tips, feedback, etc. as long as you let me know that is what you are looking for. I want to make sure that your words get the love they deserve, and that we poets unite to support one another in empowerment!

This is an ongoing club; as long as space allows, poets may show up every week! Time will be set aside at the start of every session to review our community guidelines.
