진행 중인 주간 핸드레터링 + 드로잉 수업 - 모던 가짜 서예 미술 수업

In this on-going, weekly class, we will create a new art piece using modern hand lettering and drawing techniques. We'll learn new methods and practice creating new elements, flourishes, borders, dimension, and shadows. If you've taken any of my other classes, this will follow the same style and class flow by completing a project each week. 

This class is great for students who are new to hand-lettering, or have some experience! I cover the basics in each class for all new students, and allow experienced students freedom to go on at their preferred pace. 

In my classes, students are always encouraged to make their own creative adjustments and try new things. As long as they are happy with their artwork, that's the goal! 

Class Offerings:

Week of August 5th: "Explore More" lettering drawn with a polaroid camera, hanging photos, and lots of colors!

Week of August 12th: "Let The Good Times Roll" using two different types of lettering, a mountainous skyline scene and a VW bus, with cactus.

Week of August 19th: "Back to School" Lettering on a blackboard with school-themed embellishments, and shading techniques.

We have made it through 2 years of this class! We create new weekly drawings every week. Now I’m offering some weeknight classes for students. If you would like to know what we’re drawing for a coming week, please message me so I can send you a picture. 

Card stock is preferred (but not required) for this class as we’re aiming to create a sturdy wall-art piece. Students can also choose color options they prefer most. Students will be guided step-by-step and given creative liberty to change and adapt their compositions as we draw together. 

***Please note, some students may not have time to finish coloring their piece in class depending on their optimal drawing speed. I will work at a steady pace and frequently gage where students are at during the lesson. It is my goal to help them finish their drawing, but sometimes this doesn’t allow for coloring completion before class is over. Thank you for understanding.***
