In this ongoing class, students will receive 1:1 tutoring to develop their reading skills. We will work on developing skills related to these areas: -Phonics/ Sounds -Blending -Fluency -Vocabulary -Comprehension -Expression/ Strategy Each class, we will focus on a new decodable reader/book (unless otherwise noted/needed). Students will improve their reading skills in this one-on-one tutoring class. Learners will gain confidence in his/her reading abilities.
I have been happily teaching Elementary students for the last 10 years. I have experience working in small group reading circles and one to one independent tutoring. I personally love reading and inspiring a love of reading in my students. I bring props and activities to class to aid in reading development. Learners enjoy using charts, graphs and props in class to express their ideas. These materials are fun and can help develop comprehension, imagination and vocabulary. I believe using these resources engages students and helps develop their reading skills even more. I look forward to working with you child!

Informal assessment will be used throughout class to evaluate student abilities. Blending, fluency and phonics will be evaluated through reading. Vocabulary and comprehension will be developed through informal questions and activities.제공되는 성적
There is no parental guidance required for this course. Students will work one-on-one using age-appropriate materials used in various school districts.
Materials will be adapted from school district based decodable readers.
