This course is the first of its kind on the Outschool platform. It is the most in-depth look at horse anatomy and physiology currently on Outschool. Although it is created for students of all horse-knowledge levels, it will be too advanced for some. I will be teaching the names of actual muscles, bones, nerves, tendons, veins, and other body parts. Each week has their own set of goals and learning outcomes. Ideally, each class meeting, students learn body parts and how those body parts affect the horse.
I am an Animal Scientist after graduating NC State in 2010 with a Bachelors Degree in Pre-Vet Animal Science with a minor in Agriculture Business Management, Equine Performance Anatomy and Exercise Physiology, and concentrations in Emergency Work, Biology, and Physiology. I worked in veterinary medicine at NC State University and began my vet work in 2004. I studied the Equine Industry throughout Europe and Ireland and conducted a long-term research equine project at North Carolina State University. I am prepared for this course.
