This one-time private piano lesson is for any student at any skill level. It is a perfect class for a student to experience private lessons without long term commitment. It is also a wonderful opportunity for students in group piano lessons to have individualized attention. Beginning students will have the opportunity to learn basic skills about the piano in a one-on-one setting. Advanced students (or students enrolled in other group piano lessons) will be able to work on any specific skills pertaining to the piano. One-on-one instruction is a wonderful way to boost any students’ confidence level in their music musical skills.
I am a retired public school music teacher. I graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC with a Bachelors of Music Education. I have taught music to all grades in the public school system, but spent most of time in elementary and middle school music. I have taught private piano lessons for many years in my home to all ages, ranging from 5 years old to adults. I have taught online for more than 5 years and enjoy this a great deal! I am also certified in Reading and ESL and enjoy working with all ages of students.
Beginning students will not need any music books. Handouts will be provided prior to class. More advanced students requesting extra instruction in certain skills will need the piano books that they are presently using in their classes.
