I will meet students wherever they are on their percussion journey. We will cover technique, rhythmic accuracy, reading rhythms, dynamics, performing in a group, and more. Students can choose to work on music they are learning in band class, marching band, or any other repertoire, however this is not required. If students do not have music to work on, we will dive into music I will provide. Students may choose areas they want to focus on, such as sight reading, warm ups, speed, dynamics,...
Learning goals will be decided between myself and the student as I learn what their strengths and weaknesses are and they tell me what their goals are for lessons.

Snare drum students should have a pair of sticks (a drum pad/snare drum would also be amazing, but is not required) Mallet students should have a pair of mallets (two pairs if they are working on four mallet technique) Timpani students should have a pair of timpani mallets Students working on complimentary instruments such as tambourine or triangle should have access to that instrument.
