In this one hour and thirty minute class, we will learn about Paul Cezanne, his art and process. Then we will draw our own versions of the Mont Sainte Victoire using oil pastels. Throughout the class I will be drawing and the children will follow along. Many of my classes are open ended, and the kids have room for improvisation. They will be able to create their own Mont Sainte Victoire, not just copy Cezanne's painting, and not just copy mine. The focus is always split between making sure...
The students will have a chance to practice their problem solving abilities. Together, we will identify where they are having difficulties and come up with solutions in order to resolve them.

The learners will need the following supplies for the class: * mixed media paper (about 100 lbs), Canson Mixed Media Pad is a good choice. * oil pastels * wooden skewer or toothpicks.
