Throughout the course, learners will join a lively and interactive environment where they’ll explore the ocean through colorful slides, guided discussions, games, and occasional short video clips. Each class will be structured around a weekly theme and will begin with an introduction, followed by fun facts, open-ended questions, and interactive elements to keep students engaged.

The six weekly topics include:

1. Week of May 19	- Ocean Zones and Who Lives There – Learn how sunlight, pressure, and temperature shape life in different parts of the ocean.

2. Week of May 26 - Fascinating Fish and How They Swim – Discover how fish move, breathe, and blend in with their surroundings.
3. Week of June 2 - Coral Reefs: Rainforests of the Sea – Explore vibrant coral ecosystems and the many creatures that depend on them.
4. Week of June 9 - Amazing Marine Mammals – Meet dolphins, whales, seals, and more as we learn what makes them different from fish.
5. Week of June 16 - Sharks: Fierce, Fast, and Misunderstood – Bust myths and learn cool facts about these powerful and important predators.
6. Week of June 23 - Ocean Protectors: How We Can Help the Sea – Find out how pollution affects the ocean and what kids can do to make a difference.

My teaching style is warm, enthusiastic, and interactive. I encourage questions, conversations, and sharing ideas. Students are welcome to bring their thoughts, curiosity, and ocean knowledge to class. While there is no homework, learners may receive optional extension activities like drawing prompts, simple experiments, or ocean-themed challenges to try at home if they wish.

This class is ideal for kids who are curious about marine animals, science, and the environment, and who enjoy learning through discussion and visuals rather than worksheets. No prior knowledge of marine biology is needed—just a love for the sea and a willingness to explore!
