I have taken professional development classes that specifically discuss the Number Talks method. I have taught and tutored math for about twenty years. I hold a current teaching certificate in K-8 elementary school, with a focus on math. I am halfway to my master's in secondary math. I enjoy math - it is very relatable to food and money!
This class is for all learners of all levels. We discuss problems at length and discuss different methods. This allows for all learners to discuss how they solved the problem.
Students should know number words in English.
No supplies are needed for this class.
