This class must have the minimum number of students to run. In this class, we will work in writing teams like real journalists to create a mini-biography, personal narrative, informational writing piece of the student's choice, a how-to, and a persuasive letter. Each week we will take time with our writing teams in breakout groups, sharing our writing, and getting feedback from our peers. The students will show growth in their writing skills. I encourage them to keep the writing they've done during the class to compare to future writing.
I have 15 years of professional experience writing blogs, newsletters, marketing material, event promotion material, news, and how-to articles. I've also taught grammar school and middle school Language Arts classes, and middle school and high school writing classes, in several different homeschool group settings.

Each learner will be required to complete 5 writing pieces outside of class, including brainstorming, organizing, rough draft, and final draft of each. In-class time will focus on technique, feedback, style commentary, and discussion. Expect to spend 1 to 3 hours per week outside of class to complete these assignments.수업 외 주당 1 - 2 시간

The choice of topics will be up to the student, but I will guide away from sensitive topics when necessary, and encourage those students wanting to explore more sensitive topics to do so on their own. Topics including violence, hate, or any illegal activity cannot be covered in class.
