Now is the time to start prepping for the Spring 2025 SAT Season (March 8, May 3, June 7). If you find yourself guessing on reading questions, this is the series of classes for you: No More Guessing!

In Lesson 2, you'll learn how to approach Words-in-Context questions: how to read the passage with the purpose of finding the clues to the answers, how to avoid the traps the SAT lays, and what to do if you don't know the words in the answer choices. You'll also learn how to study vocabulary for this test. You don't need to define, spell, or pronounce words. I'll give you proven materials and strategies to keep you from guessing. 

Instruction consists of teacher-made instructional material including slide presentations with original questions modeled after the College Board's questions. Additionally, I highly recommend that students purchase this book for homework practice: The Critical Reader: Vocabulary: A New Approach by Erica L. Meltzer. It has the top 250 hard words used in context, additional tips on how to work through the questions. The third section of the book has drill and practice questions that will help students practice their new skills. The student will also use the College Board Question Bank for practice. 

In order to see a score increase, it's essential that students not only attend the session but also continue to practice after the class, take practice tests, and, if necessary, study vocabulary on their own.
