수업 소개
In this course, we will discuss the basic aspects of communication and how they pertain to good leadership: -body language - emotional awareness (eg. reading the room) - word choice - vocal tone We will then discuss a few scenarios where compromising or negotiating may be necessary. Students will learn how to approach these conversations if they are confronting or being confronted. We will also discuss how to professionally handle rude interactions, and how to speak so that others listen. People often get caught up in emotions when something awkward must be discussed, which makes finding resolution difficult. This class will arm your learner with the ability to first control their own emotions, and use that ability to guide a conversation in the best way possible.

- Students will learn the four aspects of communication, and how to navigate them well for good leadership.

I am currently a research fellow, earning my PhD in education at the University of Oklahoma. The specialty of my research is to arm students with skills and knowledge to transition from school and into adulthood - no matter what age, it is never too early or too late! I also serve as a military reservist, Lieutenant in the US Coast Guard.
I earned my associate degree in child psychology, then my bachelor of science in education from Liberty University, and then my master of science in special education from Johns Hopkins University.
I teach classes that are based on real-life experience and literature. If a student can connect a concept to an experience, then they are engaging in valuable learning!
For example, my one on one tutoring sessions typically involve the interest of a student (ex. cooking), and my lesson will be constructed around famous chefs/ bakers from history, utilizing math and science skills, even marketing, business, and finance, as these play a role in a career or hobby surrounding cooking.
