In this three-week course, students will learn to write narratives. Narratives tell a story of a single event, instance, or experience. The purpose is to show how this experience significantly impacted one's life. Narratives can vary in length but always show the importance of this single moment. More specifically, personal narratives are common prompts for both high school and college. - Present the NarrativeI have taught professionally for five years in public schools but have worked for more than ten years in tutoring, mentoring, and educating students. Every year of my professional teaching, we have done this unit as a way to prepare for the school year, introduce ourselves, and as college preparation. I also teach vignettes which is a type of personal narrative on Outschool!
