There's nothing like fun mysteries to generate authentic inference and conversation! **Please check the schedule below to see what "Cases" we will be doing each week. :)** In this ongoing class, students will explore a new mystery story each week. After reading, discussing, and exploring the mystery students will have a chance to discuss their theories with each other and guess the culprit through a guided conversation. Finally, the resolution to the case is revealed at the end of class. Students will be actively practicing making inferences, speaking and listening skills, observing text clues, using background knowledge and critical thinking throughout the story and discussion each week. ** PLEASE NOTE: This class is a rotation of the current mystery classes that I teach, you can find the weekly mystery schedule below!** April 4th- The Case of the Masquerade Menace April 11th- The Case of the Grumpy Ghost April 18th - The Case of the Ruined Research April 25th- The Case of the Wicked Witch May 2nd - The Case of the Fair Fiasco May 9th - The Case of the Mysterious Movie Star May 8th - The Case of the Devious Duo Week of May 15th - The Case of the Crazy Critters Week of May 22nd - The Case of the Turkey Tournament Week of May 29th - The Case of the Nutty New Year Week of June 5th- The Case of the Wonky Wand
