This beginner class meets two times, and will start with "This Is a Flute". No musical experience necessary.

In the first class we will talk about the flute family, and learn a little about the history of the instrument. We will also cover:
-parts of the flute
-assembling the flute
-how to hold the flute 
-how to clean the flute
-breathing and the air stream
-articulation
-making your first sounds on the flute headjoint
