For the Rhythm Component: ✩ A rhythm instrument or two. A shaker or maraca is probably the easiest to choose as it is small and fun to use. For the Scale Component: Students will need items that are easy to manipulate that are colored the following colors of the scale notes: ▻ 1 each: orange, yellow, light green, dark blue and purple ▻ 2 same red color ▻ 2 same light blue Some ideas: ▪︎ colored glass floral gems ▪︎ red popsicle sticks ▪︎ buttons, ▪︎ pieces of cardboard or heavy paper colored Optional for scale practice: ✥ A glockenspiel would be a good investment for this class long-term, for the purpose of this class please only purchase the suggested ones as the colors of the notes are correct on these. Most found on Amazon have the wrong colors assigned to the notes. Contact the teacher for the best options for purchase. Expect to spend $15 - $45 ✥ Also, if you already own a piano keyboard, or can borrow one that will be a great aid in this class. If you would like to purchase one email me for recommendations.
