I will share a model example of a writing piece with the students. Then I will guide them in their own writing. Through my guidance, any errors in their writing will be corrected. This process will help them understand how to write. Emphasis will be on grammar, mechanics, conventions, sentence structures, organization, ideas, and proper academic writing. We will write in a different genre every week including descriptive/informative, persuasive, and narrative. Students are welcome to join the class any time as long as they can proficiently write a single paragraph and have basic typing skills. Topics will be based on learners' interests, so there is not a weekly topic. Learners can join at any time and will write the following types of essays: Informational/Report (Personal and Factual) Narrative Opinion Persuasive Each essay takes learners between two and five classes on average. Students work at their own pace, so there is not a set timeline.
