In this child centered, multi day class, learners will be taught the skill of dynamic subtraction using the Montessori stamp game. Students will have the opportunity to see and use Montessori materials in a concrete way to practice these skills. Before instruction begins, we’ll take a few minutes to do introductions, a brief icebreaker and review some simple class rules. Then the fun begins! Students will be provided with printable copies of the following: Color coded place value mat Color coded stamp game grid printout (for 3-6 problems) Color coded paper stamps (1-1000), 1 sheet of each with 1”x1” stamps Color and black & white printable dynamic addition problems (tens to thousands) Students will need paper, colored pencils, regular pencil, and scissors (parental guidance recommended) for cutting stamps if not done before class. If students have the real stamp game, that can be used as well!
