I’m Dr. Victoria Zhang, a dedicated educator with a PhD in Geography (Social and Statistics), a strong background as a university professor, and the editor-in-chief of renowned English academic journals. With over a decade of experience in K-12 education, I’m passionate about making mathematics accessible, whether for curriculum mastery or contest preparation. In addition, I provide comprehensive English courses, including SAT/IELTS/CAT/etc preparation, writing or speaking skills, and mock exams. I also specialize in introducing young learners to coding. My tutoring services are available in both small group and 1-on-1 settings.

🎓 PhD Holder: My academic journey culminated in a PhD in Geography, equipping me with a profound understanding of diverse subject areas. This background enables me to present complex concepts in mathematics, coding, and arts in an accessible and engaging manner.

👩‍🏫 University Professor: As a former university professor, I had the privilege of teaching and mentoring future educators. This experience refined my teaching methodologies and kept me at the forefront of educational research and innovation.

📚 Editor-in-Chief:  With years of experience as an editor-in-chief for English academic journals, I have published over thirty papers and books, authored/co-authored, edited/co-edited. My extensive professional background allows me to significantly enhance students' reading and writing potential.

🔍 K-12 Math Specialist: With over a decade of hands-on experience, I have developed curricula that cater to the unique needs of students at various grade levels. My expertise spans a wide range of mathematical disciplines, including K-12 AoPS Math, Beast Academy Math, Singapore Math, Olympiad Math, IB Math, AP Math, A-level Math, AMC8/10 Math, Gauss Math, and Kangaroo Math. This specialization allows me to offer well-rounded and challenging educational experiences.

📖✍️Reading and Writing: With my extensive editing and publishing experience, I have high enthusiasm to unlock the power of words with my engaging reading and writing lessons! Designed to enhance comprehension, expand vocabulary, and develop creative writing skills, these sessions offer fun and interactive activities that will boost your child's literacy and confidence. 

💻 Coding Expert: In addition to my background in mathematics, I am a coding expert specializing in Python and R for statistics. I have over ten years of experience teaching young learners coding using platforms like Scratch, Swift Playgrounds, and Python. My coding courses are designed to foster creativity and logical thinking in a supportive and engaging environment.

I believe in fostering a genuine love for learning across all subjects. My virtual classroom is an inclusive, interactive, and supportive environment where students can confidently explore math, coding, and arts. I emphasize hands-on activities, critical thinking, and problem-solving, making learning both understandable and enjoyable.

🎒 Courses Offered:
🧮 Mathematics: My courses cover a wide spectrum, including K-12 AoPS Math, Beast Academy Math, Singapore Math, Olympiad Math, IB Math, AP Math, A-level Math, Gauss Math, and Kangaroo Math, from foundational skills to advanced concepts. I offer advanced curriculum math and contest math courses, either group or 1-on-1 tutoring. Those customized, advanced, or inspiring sessions are suitable for K-G12. Additional STEM lessons are also available.

🌟 Reading Comprehension: I offer 1-on-1 tutoring designed to meet each student’s unique needs and learning pace!  With personalized guidance, I focus on strengthening reading comprehension skills, improving test-taking strategies, and boosting confidence for standardized exams. My goal is to create a supportive, engaging environment that helps each student excel and reach their full potential. To improve the capability for SAT, CAT, PSAT is another goal.

📖✍️Reading and Writing: I offer fun reading and writing lessons to small groups, especially for young learners (age 4-10).
 
📚 Exam Preparation: In addition to my subject-specific courses, I offer preparation and mock tests for a variety of standardized exams, crucial for private school applications and job opportunities:

SAT, PSAT, SSAT, ISEE, CCAT, CogAT Exam Preparation: Targeted at students applying for private schools, these courses prepare students for the structure and content of these exams. (K-12)
I also offer IELTS preparation and mock, based on my high IELTS level and rich experience of tutoring students IELTS and English reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

👾 Coding: Specializing in platforms like Scratch, Swift Playgrounds, Python, and R, my coding courses introduce students to programming fundamentals, fostering both creativity and analytical skills. You may explore my group or 1-on-1 Scratch coding lessons designed for young learners K-G6 (ages 5-12).
