Students will recite the poem aloud to classmates and teacher. Students will be encouraged to recite the poem after class to a family member or friend. Students will brainstorm other poems or passages they want to memorize. Students will list "locations" in a bedroom they can use to help them memorize longer passages. Students will learn the names of the birds listed in this poem and identify them in pictures.
