In this class, we will be looking at several mysteries, disappearances, and supernatural events from the Middle Ages (476 CE – 1500 CE) and discussing what may have happened. Our topics for this class will include: the disappearances of the Princes in the Tower, the Dancing Plagues, the Green Children of Woolpit, Greek fire, and we will discuss how far we think the Vikings traveled into the Americas. For each mystery, we will go over the history of the event, what happened, and any...
This class is designed to promote discussion and critical thinking, while giving the students a chance to learn more about different historical events.
I have a Master of Arts in Early European History from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. I have been teaching and lecturing on Medieval history and folklore for five years for both children and adults.
We will be dealing with historic mysteries, therefore there will be discussion of disappearances and death. The details for these topics will be kept to a minimum.
