This is a broad introductory class that will cover a number of topics relating to medieval medicine. It is an ideal course for those who are interested in general history, the medieval time period, the study of diseases, or early medical practices. No prior classes or information is needed to be in this course, we will start with the basics and move on from that point. I chose to offer this class because I find the topic to be both interesting and not one that is generally taught on a regular basis. As for my background, I have a Master of Arts in Early European History, a certificate in Herbalism, and I have worked in the modern emergency medicine field for a number of years. Additionally, I write books that involve medieval folklore, superstitions, and herbal practices.
