IEW Medieval History-Based Writing Lessons: Semester 1 Syllabus

Course Overview:
From the Anglo-Saxons to the Renaissance, from chivalrous knights to Genghis Khan, students will improve their knowledge of medieval times while learning to write with structure and style using the IEW method. No previous IEW experience is necessary.

Required Textbook:
Medieval History-Based Writing Lessons Student Book

Optional Literature Component:
Students can choose to read eight novels that integrate with the historical topics used for writing assignments. These novels are optional and not required coursework.
