I will be teaching using multiple methods.Some will require a student to do a project focusing on a topic. Math and Science should be FUN. I teach with the students, not to a test. This way, I know if I need to reteach a topic. OOur topics will include but are not limited to, quantity, tesselations, infinity, illusions, and much more. My teaching style is multisensory. Just because I am at a computer doesn't mean a student can't use their hands, ears, eyes, and nose. This class will be project-based. The lessons will be a mix of Socratic Seminars and building their projects for each class. At times, we will use videos from PBS and NOVA. This is a hands-on class! So be prepared to work!

Students will observe how mathematics can be found in nature and art. They should be able to compare and contrast artwork and plants/flowers to see how math is all around us.Students will be able to express their ideas about art. They will be give time to journal and express themselves independently and work on solving why all of the subjects are intertwined.

Later Mathematical Discoveries

I am not one of those teachers who believe students learn by doing.I use multiple modes to deliver content, games, word searches, guided notes, and experimen I believe with any population, slow is fast, but I never dumb down curriculum

사전 요구 사항
Students must be able to read at grade level. They have to have the basic concepts of mathematics and art. Students will not be doing calculations during this class above adding numbers together. There is no prerequsit for art.

Pencils, Color Pencils, paper: For one of the projects, the students will need stock paper. I will let you know the dimensions. Oragami paper, scissors and glue.

First, I am the 2004 Stem Educator of the Year at the Midlands of SC. I was awarded this honor because of my dedication to multisensory education that fits ALL students, not just the best of the best.
Further, my undergraduate degree is in mathematics and physical sciences. I had to take the regular classes (calculus, linear algebra, discrete math, etc.), but in my last two years, I moved more into theoretical mathematics. I found this refreshing, as I could think outside the box and explore different dimensions of mathematics and physics. I was awarded the prestigious Zambriski Science Award.
My Master's degree was where I first started teaching classes. This was a perfect complement to my desire to teach. I was in interdisciplinary education that focused on culture, language, and diversity.
