This class is a weekly 25 minute one on one tutoring session. This class will use an instructional approach where I will support the needs of your student using a variety of math strategies and activities. I will access your learner and together with your input we will come up with learning skills and strategies that best suit your learners needs. I will also use other number/math resources depending on the needs of the learner. The math skills your learner will work on may include number sense, writing and identifying numbers, computation skills (addition and subtraction), word problems, patterning, graphing, coin recognition and counting coins and mental math skills. I will use games, songs and hands on activities to teach and engage your learner. I believe learning should be fun, as well as educational.

Students will need something to write on and write with for each class. Any supplies or attachments needed will be put in the classroom at least 24 hours before class starts.

Hi my name is Lynn and I am excited to be teaching on Outschool.
I graduated with a bachelor degree in education. I am a certified teacher with an endorsement in Pre-K - 4th grade.
I taught first grade for 18 years and I have taught kindergarten for the last 11 years. I also have over 15 years of experience volunteering with pre-schoolers and young adults. I love teaching and making an impact on children of all ages. I feel so blessed to be able to have a job I love!
I believe that learning should be interactive and fun as well as educational. I also believe that all children learn and develop at their own pace and I believe in meeting children where they are when they come to my class. I will offer a variety of activities in my classes to enhance each students learning experience.
In my free time I enjoy riding my bike, crafting with my cricut, reading, going to the beach and pool, shopping and spending time with my family and friends.
