Why this course?

Math Skills Builders are important for middle math success.  A strong math foundation is needed to understand concepts.  Learning is so much easier when the foundation is strong!  

This ongoing course will cover the foundational skills needed for middle math!  Each 25 minute session will address a new skill!   


The topic orders are subject to change! We will NOT cycle back to the same topics but introduce a new skill each week.  However, some topics could be reintroduced in a different way.

Please review the class schedule and pick one day of the week/time that works for you.  We will meet weekly on your selected day and time.

Class Structure: The students will learn and practice a NEW skill each week.  Each session will conclude with a summary of what was covered and what's coming next!  The class structure is purposed to introduce foundational skills needed to do well in middle math (6th, 7th and 8th grade).

This class will continue YEAR ROUND with a new skill introduced each week.  You can join our class at any time!

Teaching Style:  Student-Centered !!!  LOTS of interactive activities, games and discussions !!!  Research proves that a student-centered instructional model is key to learning!  

Interaction Level:  Medium to High !!!  Students will have an opportunity to engage with me and each other through games, video clips and discussions!  It is my first priority to ensure the safety of all students so open chat and open microphone will be limited.  All interactive activities are selected to maximize learning while providing a safe environment to do so!
