수학 마스터: 포켓몬 에디션 - 곱셈 암기 학기! 배우고 복습하세요!

In this 16 week course we will play a Pokémon themed memory math game focusing on a different set of multiplication facts each week,. We will start with our 0's and 1's and proceed all the way through our 12 times tables, focusing on one set each week and periodically adding review weeks to make sure we are retaining and understanding what we are learning. Different learning strategies and helpful hints will be given as we go along to help learning and comprehension. Students will have a handout every week that we will complete together which will help them learn that week's multiplication facts. We will play a Pokémon themed memory math game, where each student will have multiple turns and have multiple chances to learn/review/master their times tables. Each week I will provide an optional practice sheet so that that students have the ability to continue strengthening their skills.  At the end of the semester students will receive a certificate of completion for all their hard work! 

At the end of each class we will have time to share any Pokémon goodies the students would like, cards, stuffies, toys etc. 

My class setting is a relaxed, fun, open space for all students to be able to discuss and express their thoughts about what we are learning. I encourage student interaction with not only myself but with their fellow classmates. Everyone is expected to be respectful, positive and listen to one another but also feel like they have the ability to share their own thoughts and opinions. I believe learning should be fun and try to provide a space for that to happen.

As a neurodivergent teacher myself, I incorporate different learning styles (visual, hands-on etc.) to make sure everyone is included & is able to find learning styles that work best for them. I strive to find a balance that includes everyone!
