스페인어 현재 시제 마스터하기! (고급 초보자 - 플렉스 수업)

This class is for students that have an advanced beginner level. By advanced beginner, I mean, any student that is comfortable introducing themselves and having small conversations in Spanish. Ideally, the student should have been exposed to verb conjugation in Spanish. If you are unfamiliar with the Spanish language let me explain a little bit better. In Spanish, we conjugate every verbs. What that means is that the ending of the verb changes for every subject pronoun (I, you, he, she, we, and they). So instead of learning one word per verb, we need to learn 7 different variations of the verb. It is hard work and it takes time. In my experience, this is the biggest struggle for students when learning Spanish. However, getting through verb conjugation in the present tense will make the students much more comfortable communicating and will allow them to continue their growth with a much more solid foundation.

I created this class to help students get more practice conjugating verbs in the present on their own time. But it is important that they work on it a little bit every day to get the most out of this class. So, in just 4 weeks we will cover how to conjugate verbs in Spanish in the present tense (both regular and irregular). It is hard work and it takes practice every day. But we will learn how to conjugate in Spanish through fun interactive and engaging activities. I know, from my own experience, that trying to memorize words and vocabulary is not fun. So, I tried to create an engaging class with challenges and songs to keep the students motivated. After this class the students will certainly feel more comfortable speaking in the present. This class, will help the students to build a solid foundation of their Spanish skills. That in turn, will facilitate their growth of Spanish in the future. 

This is a flex class, meaning there are no live meetings. However, this class requires high levels of participation almost daily. The class will use Nearpod interactive presentations where students will be challenged to complete a series of activities to learn and practice their skills. Every week, I will post questions in Spanish in the Outschool classroom for the students to participate and interact with their classmates. We will also listen to songs and discuss how we liked them. Finally, every week, the students will submit a written assignment that I will return with comments and feedback to help them improve and make sure they are understanding the concepts. 

Note that all interaction will take place through the Outschool classroom. The class includes songs, interactive games, polls, and much more. 

The topics will cover in class are listed below for every week: 
Week 1: Subject Pronouns (I, you, he, she, we, they) in Spanish
Week 2: Regular verbs in Spanish
Week 3: The verb 'to be' in Spanish (Ser y Estar)
Week 4: Irregular verbs in Spanish

The class will take place following this format: 

First: You will receive a link to a Nearpod presentation and a print out that will introduce the topic for that week. I will ask a few questions in Spanish to get to know each other and the other students. Asking follow up questions is expected. 

Second: You will receive another link to a Nearpod presentation to practice and get more comfortable with the topic. I will also post a link to a Spanish song and I will send a print out to filling the missing words, so we practice our listening skills. 

Third: You will receive a final link to another Nearpod presentation with more interactive activities. And we will listen to another Spanish song. On Fridays, I will also post a written assignment to work with during the weekend. 

*You will be asked to answer questions in the Outschool Classroom during the week. You should also use the Outschool Classroom to ask questions and get to talk to your classmates in Spanish only!

*Students need to have previous knowledge of Spanish before signing for the class. You should be a little bit familiar with conjugation in the present tense. 

*This is a foreign language class. Participation in this class is a necessary element for student success. Please keep that in mind when enrolling.
