This self-paced course is designed to help middle school students strengthen their reading comprehension abilities, a crucial skill for academic success across all subjects. Learners will work through a series of interactive lessons, video explanations, and practice activities focused on understanding text structure, finding main ideas, making inferences, and analyzing the author’s purpose. The course is structured into weekly modules that cover different reading skills, gradually increasing in difficulty to allow learners to build confidence and skill proficiency. Each module includes: A video lesson with direct instruction. Practice questions to reinforce concepts. A quiz to assess comprehension and track progress. Learners will have the ability to review previous lessons as needed, and the content will be applicable to a variety of reading materials, including fiction, non-fiction, and informational texts.
