ë 벨 Beginner - Intermediate
Memory Match is a custom made interactive card game for learners within the beginner to intermediate levels of basic math. This game is (usually) great for 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders who are learning, practicing or reviewing their addition and subtraction math concepts. >>> Addition (using numbers 0-20) >>> Subtraction (using numbers 0-20) Learners will need to rely on their memory and math skills in order to compete against the scores of other students. The objective of this game is to be the highest scoring player on the leader board. All children need to learn foundational math concepts, but let's face it . . . they'd rather be playing games with their friends. Well, in ALL of my math game classes, I encourage them to do both! If your learner enjoys this class, go checkout my Mastering Math: Virtual Gaming Club and join us weekly as we practice math and play endless games with friends. :-) ââ đ IMPORTANT: KPE POLICIES đ ââ Please click the following link to read our policies regarding: (1) Class Minimum Policy (2) Tardiness Policy (3) Camera Policy (4) Class Recording Policy (5) Makeup Class Policy (6) Transfer Policy (7) Refund Policy (8) Communication https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-muzsZCpFdu4u_I4MSb_yYypftxpDDSmfsMd8x9eZIs/edit?usp=sharing

This math game is a highly interactive and very competitive activity. The learners will have a chance to compete against each other (or the instructor) as they play. Not all students will win. Learners should be able to exhibit good sportsmanship regardless if they win or lose.
In this session the materials will be presented to the learners via an interactive Canva, PowerPoint or Google slideshow presentation (shared on the teacher's device, only). No external links will be clicked. No additional websites will be visited. No additional logins are necessary for the learners.
ěě ěëŁ
Sometimes enrolled learners choose to have scratch paper on side of them to help think through the process. Writing isn't necessary for solving all of the challenges; however, having a couple sheets of scratch paper can be helpful for visualizing and jotting down notes.

My expertise as a home educator and private school teacher have afforded me 10+ years teaching math concepts to students of all ages (especially grades 1-7). Throughout those years I have developed many ways to make math mastery attainable for learners within the different levels. My favorite way is through playing games.
