Join Miss Willow for one-on-one essay tutoring, where your kids will get the guided attention they need to master all forms of essay writing and gain the confidence to write and succeed. LESSON DETAILS Lessons are open to students ages 10-14, are 50 minutes long, ongoing, and completely customized to the student's needs. Possible topics covered are... 🌟 Essay Structure 🌟 Sentence Structure 🌟 Punctuation 🌟 Narrative Essays 🌟 Argumentative Essays 🌟 Compare and contrast Essays 🌟 Opinion Essays 🌟 Homework Help 🌟 Organizing Ideas 🌟 Citing Sources Please feel free to reach out with any questions. I can’t wait to share my excitement & passion for writing with your child. Thank you for the opportunity to work with your student! Since the lessons are customized to your student's needs you and I can work together to make sure that your student is getting the guidance that they need in essay writing. Each student will have an assessment the first class to see where they could use more help in writing and from there I will guide them to make sure they master essay writing. Homework help or help with admission essays are a possibility for topics. ABOUT ME AND MY STYLE My name is Willow, and I have been an English tutor for over a decade. Being able to instill a love for learning in my students, and knowing I am making a difference in their lives, is why teaching is my biggest passion. I have a philosophy that anyone can learn, and that tutoring should be tailored to each student's unique needs in order to best foster the learning process. I have experience tutoring all grade levels, and have successfully worked with students who are autistic, have ADHD, or are otherwise physically or mentally disabled. Writing and critical thinking are invaluable skills, as they help you better express yourself through both the written and spoken word. I strive to help students find confidence in their abilities, and provide them tools they can use for the rest of their lives. No matter your child’s educational background or ability level, if they want to learn, I am willing to teach. I believe anyone can grow their writing skills to their top potential, and I want to help as many students as I can to get there.
