In this one time class, learners will gain an understanding of adult proportion and learn tricks and tips to help them draw people with confidence! The session will start with a short discussion about drawing people and then we will begin to map out the proportions of the body with simple shapes. Using a second camera showing my live demonstration I will explain and give hints and tips as I draw. I vary my pace depending on the ability of the group and always ensure no one is left behind!...
I have taught Art and Design and Photography in secondary schools and sixth forms in the UK for over 13 years. In addition to this I have run hundreds of art workshops for children both in the UK and Ireland. I am proud to develop and run Future Creatives workshops (both online and in person) for the University of the Arts London (UAL) which comprises of 6 colleges, among them Central Saint Martins and Chelsea College of Arts. I am passionate about promoting the creative process in children and am always positive, friendly and encouraging! I specialise in helping children with low self-confidence in art improve their skills and rediscover the joy of making art.
