We have a structured approach to our classes! Here’s a brief breakdown of each session:

Worksheet: This session can focus on various exercises that reinforce the concepts taught. Students can complete problems related to addition, subtraction, and other relevant topics, allowing them to practice and apply what they’ve learned.

Speed Test: This part encourages quick thinking and helps improve students' mental math skills. You could time them as they solve a set of problems, promoting both speed and accuracy.

Orals: This interactive session involves the teacher asking students to solve random addition or subtraction problems verbally. It enhances their mental calculation abilities and builds confidence in their math skills.

The curriculum is typically divided into various levels(level 0 to level 8), each designed to progressively build proficiency and confidence in arithmetic operations. In the initial levels(level 0 to 3), students learn the basics of the abacus(, including the structure of the tool and the fundamental techniques for manipulating beads. These early stages focus on simple calculations such as addition and subtraction, laying a solid foundation for more complex operations. Upto this It will take one year for the kids to complete levels 0 to 4, based on their pace.

As students advance through the intermediate levels, they are introduced to multiplication(level 4) and division (level 6), utilizing the abacus to understand and perform these operations with increasing speed and accuracy. These levels emphasize mental arithmetic, encouraging students to visualize the abacus in their minds to solve problems without the physical tool. This mental imagery technique significantly enhances cognitive abilities and fosters a deeper understanding of numerical relationships. Upto this it will take another 1 year for the kids to complete levels 5 to 7.

In the higher levels, the curriculum incorporates advanced mathematical concepts such as decimal(level 8) calculations.
