Pre-Requisites: Students taking this class should have already taken a pre-algebra class and/or have mastered concepts such as how to add, subtract, multiply and divide using negative numbers, how to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions, how to solve equations with fractions and decimals. Multiplication facts should be mastered up the the 12 facts. Students will learn from instruction on the whiteboard and through working example problems. Class time will be used to go over homework from the previous day, answer any questions and cover the day's lesson. Students will have time at the end of the class to work problems and ask any additional questions. Review will be covered each day to keep the topics fresh. Students are encouraged ask questions and participate in class. There are 2 grading options for this class: Option 1: Students will not submit assignments and will not receive a grade. This option is perfect for those just looking for additional support and wishing to grade their own papers or skip HW and test altogether. Option 2: I will grade Classwork/Homework and tests. Students will submit all assignments to Google Classroom. Assignments must be submitted in a pdf. Assigments submitted to Outschool will not be graded. Late Assignments will not be graded. Assignments not submitted in pdf form will not be graded. A notebook and graph paper to take notes and pen or pencil. Calculators and graph paper are recommended. Prerequisites: - Fluency with basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) - A solid understanding of fractions, percents, and decimals--and how they're all related -Ratio and proportion -Probability -Geometry formulas and vocabulary: perimeter, area, circumference, etc. -Integers, the number line, and integer operations
