This course will teach five reading skills and three reading strategies to assist Kindergarten through 3rd graders in their reading comprehension. Reading strategies help students actively think about reading and reading skills assist in answering comprehension questions. If homework is assigned, students will only be required to read short passages or have them read to them prior to the session. The document will be placed on the classroom at least 2-3 days prior to the class date.
