Each week we will read a new book and talk about the different parts we liked.  When reading the book, I incorporate movement and interaction to keep the students engaged. For example, we buckle our seat belts and help drive the school bus. We might put on our pretend space suits for a field trip to the moon, or clean the mud off ourselves after trudging through the bog.  If Ms Frizzle starts laughing, so do we, and when the students cheer, we jump up and down and celebrate too! After the story, students help choose which book we read next time. 

Because the material is presented in such a fun and engaging way, students are picking up the concepts without even realizing it! Topics include science of sound, animal habitats, microbes, outer space, archaeology and more! 

You do not need to read ahead of time or prepare for the class. Just come ready for an adventure! Because the students vote on each week's book, I do not post an updated list on what will be read, but if you would like to know just message me and I can tell you the book chosen for this particular week.
